Hi there, Jonathan!
Ahoy and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you stopped by with your question about planning a future Disney Cruise Line vacation! Since you have a placeholder secured, you must be part of the Castaway Club, knowing already how much fun and excitement awaits you onboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship! And with
new itineraries and exciting places to visit, you can always be sure to experience something new with each voyage!
While my family is not (yet!) members of the
Disney Vacation Club, we have done a lot of resEARch on how to utilize Disney Vacation Club points to cruise with Captain Mickey! Looking back over my notes (and questioning my husband who has done ALL the research), I believe that you can combine both the placeholder deposit with your DVC points for your next vacation, BUT I would highly recommend contacting a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member at (800) 951-3532 to double check! There are often stipulations that may interfere, and I do not want to steer you in the wrong direction. A Cast Member will be able to look at your exact placeholder reservation and answer any questions you have – and even help you with booking your next Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Once you get your adventure at sea booked, please come back with any other planning questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
