Hello Chunyao!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question. Booking a placeholder during your Disney cruise is a fantastic way to secure a discount on a future sailing. You can indeed apply your placeholder to a reservation made through Costco Travel and still receive the 10% discount offered by
Disney Cruise Line.
To do this, you have two options. First, you can transfer the placeholder to Costco Travel within 30 days. Contact Costco, and they will provide you with a transfer request form to complete and return. Once the transfer is processed, Costco Travel can assist you in selecting your future sail date, and you'll retain the 10% discount.
Alternatively, you can use your
placeholder to book a specific cruise directly with Disney Cruise Line. After securing your reservation, you have up to 30 days to transfer the booking to Costco Travel. This approach allows you to lock in your desired sail date and stateroom promptly, especially during high-demand periods.
Please note that the 10% discount from the placeholder cannot be combined with certain special offers or discounts, such as Florida Resident Rates or U.S. Military Rates. However, by transferring your reservation to Costco Travel, you can still take advantage of their additional benefits, like Costco Shop Cards, enhancing the overall value of your booking.
For further assistance, you can
contact Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532. Cast Members are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern Time, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
I hope this information helps you navigate the process smoothly. If you have any more questions as you plan your next Disney cruise, feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We're here to assist you in making your voyage as magical as possible!
Best,
~Yael
