Is there a place on WDW property that repairs/restuffs plushies purchased previously? We bought my daughter a Pooh from Beach club over 20 years ago that she will NEVER part with but he is in desperate need of a refresh. We’d love to have it done on site.

    Hiya Jennifer,

Welcome to planDisney! As a mama of two, this question warms my heart! My little toddler has a stuffed flamingo she's had since she was a baby, and she sleeps with it every night (my son has an Ewok lovey that is his favorite). The flamingo is definitely looking weathered, but her little heart would break if anything ever happened to Birdie. I hope Birdie will last 20-plus years, like your daughter’s Pooh Bear.

Now to your question, Jennifer. First, I love this idea! I know that there are some companies now that offer plushie restoration, and it is always amazing. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort does not have a service such as that on property at this time (even though I wish they did). If you wanted to restore Pooh to his original glory, you would have to seek restoration services closer to you at this time. I’m not sure where you are located in NY, but there are several big restoration locations in the Tri-State area that I found when researching this question. One of them might be perfect for this project!

I wish I had better news, Jennifer, but I hope this was helpful. Even though you would not be able to breathe new life into your daughter’s Winnie the Pooh at the Most Magical Place on Earth, you could get him a new pal during your next visit. Winnie the Pooh is celebrating its 100th anniversary in October, and in commemoration, the parks have been releasing so many incredible Pooh-themed items. My mother, who introduced me to the “silly ol’ bear,” just recently picked up a Starbucks tumbler and a vintage-inspired Eeyore when she visited me last, and new ones are showing up all the time. My favorite place to find Winnie the Pooh is the UK pavilion at EPCOT, because they tend to stock the most vintage-looking plushies. Next visit, stop by there. You might find a perfect companion for your daughter’s well-loved pal. If there is anything else you need, Jennifer, please come back and see us. We would be happy to help.

    Happy Planning,
