Hello, Shima! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m happy you have an upcoming voyage planned with Captains Mickey and Minnie. You must be getting so excited! I still remember taking my son on his first Disney Cruise. I think our suitcase was almost over the weight limit for our airline because of all the stuff we brought for him. Although they may be tiny, pint-sized sailors seem to travel with a lot of gadgets and gizmos. I’d love to help you prepare for your voyage.
Strollers or collapsible wagons may be brought onboard. However, they are the only type of wagon permitted and must be stored in your stateroom or the designated parking area. Crew Members can point you toward the public storage areas onboard. I also recommend looking at the
Prohibited Items list on the Disney Cruise Line website to ensure everything you plan to pack is approved.
Shima, I’m not sure if you are aware, but Disney Cruise Line has many
helpful services and amenities for parents traveling with little ones. Your stateroom host can provide a bed rail and diaper disposal unit upon request. There are even a limited number of complimentary strollers available from Guest Services that can be used for the duration of your cruise, both onboard and ashore. If your cruise includes a stop at Disney’s private island
Castaway Cay, complimentary beach-ready wagons are available near Scuttle’s Cove and the Pelican Point tram stop. This is a great option if you only plan to use your wagon on the island.
I hope this clears up any questions and that you are prepared for smooth sailing ahead. Please sail back to planDisney if you think of anything else. We are all ears!
SEAS the adventure,
Tracie
