Is there a place for spectators to watch any of the 5K races? I am contemplating doing one, but my husband and young child would like to be able to cheer me on. Is there a ChEAR section for 5ks or a place at the finish to meet up?

    Hello, Gillian!

Thank you so much for your patience in my reply. I've just returned from a wonderful family vacation at Walt Disney World® Resort - which makes me all the more excited for you!

Spectating for 5K races is a bit more limiting than the longer distances and can vary by race, but with a little planning, your family can still find a great spot to chEAR you on!

While there are no designated locations for spectators during 5K races, there are generally opportunities for runner viewing at the start line and finish line. Most of the actual race itself takes place within the theme parks during non-park hours, so spectators will not be along the course once you've entered the parks. Meeting up with your family after the race can easily occur in the Family Reunion Area.

I would love to know if you have a race weekend in mind so I may provide more detailed information, Gillian! Please do not hesitate to let me know if you should have any additional questions. And I hope to hear from you again.

    Happy Running!
