Is there a place to get specialty coffee at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Like a latte made of soy or almond milk, for example? And if so, what are the hours of the coffee location? (Yes I am a hopeless caffeine person and I do not like the in-room coffee makers.)

    Jambo Alison!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so excited to hear that you'll be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on your upcoming vacation.  I was just at this resort last week for the second time and love all that is has to offer.  Whether or not you have a Savanna View room, there are plenty of opportunities to see animals from the outdoor viewing areas.  They also have an incredible collection of African art on display throughout the lobby.  It's definitely worth taking some time to explore when you have a moment during your trip!

Alison, I am always keeping an eye open for available caffeine options to start my morning (and sometimes boost my evening) too.  At The Mara, a Quick-Service restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you'll find a few specialty coffees on their menu.  There is currently an Iced Chai Tea Latte made with Oatmilk, a Café Mocha, and an Americano on their menu.  The Mara is open from 6:30 AM until 11:00 PM and you'll find it at Jambo House near the pool.  If you're running to rope drop a theme park and want to have your specialty coffee ready and waiting, you can use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering to place your order from your room.  There is a shelf immediately on the left when you enter with mobile orders.

If you have a little more time in the morning, I highly recommend stopping by Boma - Flavors of Africa to check out my newest Disney food obsession - their breakfast buffet!  Whether you're looking for classic choices like scrambled eggs, bacon, and Mickey or Simba waffles, or more adventurous items like the avocado, papaya, and grapefruit salad (one of my favorites), there is truly something for everyone to enjoy here!  And I have to give a special thanks to my panelist pal, Nilson, who encouraged me to have dessert with my breakfast which just happened to include Cranberry-Orange Bread Pudding with a Vanilla Sauce. . .I have no regrets!  While I didn't try one during my breakfast, I did notice a selection of specialty coffees on the menu here as well.

Alison, I hope you enjoy a wonderful time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and throughout your visit!  Please feel free to stop by and visit us again here at planDisney with any other questions you have!
