Hi there, Debbie! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I’m so glad you’re returning to the Happiest Place on Earth in just a few short weeks! You’re in for a spook-tacular visit since
Halloween Time is in full swing!
The Disneyland Resort hopes to ensure a comfortable visit for all guests, including
those with special needs. I’m pleased to report that there are several quieter spots throughout the Resort that are ideal for taking a break. In fact, feel free to download this helpful
Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities, which includes a section on where to take a break. These are the perfect spots for Guests with cognitive disabilities who have become over-stimulated or need some down time, to enjoy some peace and quiet.
In
Disneyland Park, you can find some respite in
First Aid, located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., just past the Baby Care Center. In Critter Country, you’ll find the break spot near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. In Adventureland, head toward the base of Tarzan’s Treehouse. In Mickey’s Toontown, there’s a quiet spot near the planter area in front of Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
When you’re in
Disney California Adventure Park, take a break in First Aid, located next to the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. In Hollywood Land, there’s a quiet spot in the Backlot area near Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! On
Pixar Pier, head toward the World of Color viewing area in Paradise Gardens Park during the daytime for a relaxing break. The shaded tables near Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta are also a nice, quiet spot between lunch and dinner crowds. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is another great break location, with its winding trails, lush landscape, and serene setting.
If you have trouble finding any of these locations, simply ask a Cast Member for assistance. Should your Mouseketeer require any additional help, I’d recommend stopping by
Guest Relations. A helpful Cast Member will be happy to find a solution to make your child feel more comfortable.
Lastly, here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival date, so you can start mapping out the magic now! I also recommend downloading the
Disneyland app, which is a great handy helper inside the parks. Use it to make dining reservations, check wait times, find favorite Characters, and even mobile order food and drinks!
Wishing you a stress-free, magical visit to the Disneyland Resort this October!
