Hi there, Monica!
Welcome to planDisney, we’re happy to have you. Not only am I excited that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort, but I’m even more excited to help you do what I do best:
shop!
I just got back home from a quick visit to Hollywood Studios yesterday, and my husband is relieved I only came back with one souvenir. Mickey Mouse-shaped sunglasses, of course! He had a good laugh with me yesterday as I rocked them all day. The joke of the day was that he no longer could look me in the eyes because all he saw was Mickey. I will say they are very cute! You might want to check them out for yourself when you go.
As far as your windchimes, I know just the place to check.
Mombasa Marketplace is where I purchased a decorative wind spinner for my grandmother. Hers does not make noise, but it spins beautifully in front of her house. It’s held up so well in the Arizona sun, too! We purchased a blue and purple Mickey inspired turning "sculpture". My only regret is that I wish we had gone bigger! You can also find these turners at
Eyecatchers in Disney Springs. I’m trying to tune into my inner shopping library and think back on the sounds, and I can’t remember if they had some with chime features. I do know both locations are the perfect place to check, though!
As I continue to think about it, I believe the location at
Animal Kingdom, Mombasa Marketplace, also had bamboo windchimes. So while they aren’t the traditional metal style ones, I do remember seeing those!
Monica, I hope my recommendations help you find just the right chime to bring home with you. I recommend packing light so that you have room to bring back all your new purchases! Until then, please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.
Happy Shopping!
Shantel
