Is there a place in the park that you can make a reservation for either dinner and watch the fireworks or just a reserved pay area to watch the fireworks on New Year’s Eve at Disneyland?

    Hello, Karin!

Welcome to planDisney! Nighttime spectaculars at the Disneyland Resort are such a unique and touching experience. I don't blame you for wanting a good view!

Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace offers dinner with fireworks viewing on select evenings. At the moment, it appears that this experience isn't offered on New Year's Eve...but I would check once in a while to see if it opens up. The other dining package at Disneyland Park is at Plaza Inn and it includes reserved viewing for the A Christmas Fantasy Parade, not fireworks. Those are the only two reserved viewing experiences at Disneyland Park currently. Reserved seating is part of Disneyland Resort VIP Tours, which would be an incredible way to spend New Year's Eve, but there is no option to purchase reserved seating separately at the moment.

Holidays like New Year's Eve are the kind of day that I like to be extra prepared at the theme parks. We bring plenty of layers and snacks and store them in a locker so that we've got everything we need to go the distance. I love that you can revisit your locker as often as you want during the day! I would also consider purchasing Disney Genie+ Service that day so that you can use Lightning Lanes to shorten your waits. When it comes to dining, try using the Disneyland Mobile App to place a mobile order for meals and snacks. This is especially handy for popular treats like the Mickey Gingerbread Cookie or my personal favorite...DOLE Whip!

One last idea for another day...my favorite premium viewing option at the Disneyland Resort is the World of Color Dessert Party! This experience doesn't seem to be available on New Year's Eve this year, but I highly recommend trying it on your next visit to the resort. It includes a delicious plate of cheese, fruit, and treats with the most amazing view of the show!

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are the perfect time to focus on pixie dust and patience. It will certainly be busy, but I hope you'll be able to enjoy an incredible finale as you bid farewell to 2023, Karin! Wishing you and yours a magical new year!

    Keep moving forward!
