Royal Greetings, Tawnya!
Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting that the wish your heart has made of a magical Walt Disney World vacation is about to come true. With the home-away-from-home amenities of your Disney Vacation Club Villa, you are going to enjoy a dreamy experience that will make your family's vacation so much easier.
Tawyna, you most certainly can order groceries to be delivered to your Resort.
Disney Vacation Club Villas that are one-bedroom and larger have full-sized kitchens, filled with gadgets and gizmos aplenty. You can make easy breakfasts, pack snacks and sandwiches for your park and pool days, and even sit back and relax as your dining table presents your dinner.
You can order grocery delivery from any service provider you wish, including Walmart. Our family has done this several times with Instacart, Whole Foods, and Amazon Fresh, but my parents love to order from Kroger. Some of our planDisney panelists like to order from the Garden Grocer.
Now, one thing to note is that when groceries arrive, they will be delivered to the Bell Desk in the Grand Floridian lobby. Some of the Resorts do not have the capacity to store perishable items, and this is Resort-specific, so my recommendation is always to time your delivery to when you will be in your Villa. In Florida's heat, perishable items can spoil quickly, so it is best that you are in the Villa when they arrive.
Once the groceries arrive, you can request Bell Services deliver them to your room, however, they charge a
$6 fee (subject to change) for each delivery. You can avoid this fee by meeting the delivery driver in the lobby, borrowing a luggage cart, and delivering the groceries to your room yourself. If you have alcohol delivered with your order, you will have to meet the driver in the lobby to present your photo ID, as Cast Members can't accept alcohol on your behalf.
Here's a tip, Tawyna. When you plan your grocery order, there are
complimentary barbecue grills located near the Villas at the Grand Floridian for your use. Our family loves to spend a day flippin' our fins at the Resort pool, and enjoy a barbecue dinner before taking part in the Movies Under The Stars. It's the perfect happy ending to a magical Disney day.
I hope this helps you, Tawnya! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me. With a "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," I'll be happy to help make magic for you!
Magically Yours,
Keri
