Hi Jeannette, and welcome to planDisney! First, let me pass on my condolences for your loss. I love that you are seeking a magical way to pay tribute to the memory of your daughter on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. The spirit of Tinkerbell reminds us all of the magic of faith, trust, and pixie dust, so I can't think of a better character to represent your ongoing connection to your daughter.
Jeannette, at this time, Tinkerbell does not offer a character meet and greet in Disney World; however, she can be seen in a few special places throughout the park. One of these is in the
Festival of Fantasy parade every afternoon down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park. I'll give you a little tip that worked out pretty magically for me on my last visit; we lined up with the
PhotoPass photographer in the circle hub at the foot of Main Street near the train station during the parade; it just so happened that as we took our photos, Tinkerbell's float was coming down behind us and you can see her waving and smiling atop her float behind us in the photos! This does take a little bit of planning, but I'm certain if you can find a photographer there during the parade, they would be more than happy to help with your special request.
Another place to see Tinkerbell flying high is during the evening fireworks show,
Happily Ever After, as she descends from Cinderella Castle across the bridge to the
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. One final suggestion I can give is to speak with PhotoPass photographers throughout the park and request a Magic Shot with Tinkerbell. Inside of
Sir Mickey's in Magic Kingdom is the Royal Portrait Studio, where the photographers are happy to take requests for special
Magic Shots as well, and in the Marketplace at Disney Springs is the
Disney PhotoPass Studio where you can also incorporate different backgrounds and props into your photos. This might be a great alternative if you can bring along some mementos that remind you of your daughter to use in your photos.
Jeannette, I hope this helps you find a magical way to bring your daughter's memory to life on your visit. The spirit of Disney is deep-rooted in believing in miracles and finding magic in the everyday beauty that surrounds us. I have no doubt that your daughter's magical spirit will surround you throughout your vacation and I hope you find comfort in celebrating her memory at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Think of happy things; it's the same as having wings,
Alison
