Gawrsh, Siobhan!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to discuss one of my favorite topics. There are few things more magical than saying hello to beloved characters, so when it comes to prioritizing
character meet and greets,
it's clear that we're seeing it eye to eye!
While there are certain characters you can pretty much guarantee will be greeting Guests no matter when you visit Walt Disney World Resort (like my favorites, Chip 'n' Dale), there are others who are a bit more elusive. Unfortunately, Powerline (and Powerline Max) are two of these rare characters. A few years ago, Powerline Max was appearing regularly in Disney's Hollywood Studios, but in recent years, Max's Powerline attire has been reserved for special events such as
Disney After Hours, holiday parties, and
runDisney events. Typically, select characters appearing at events such as
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
Disney Jollywood Nights are announced in advance, which can help with planning, but in other instances, character appearances vary and remain a magical surprise.
I'm sure this isn't what you were hoping to hear, Siobhan, so I encourage you to leave room for a bit of Disney magic during your upcoming visit. Be sure to check character appearances in the
My Disney Experience app each day and to keep your eyes peeled when visiting the theme parks. You never know who you might see! I've noticed an increase in unannounced character appearances during my recent visits - like Aladdin and Jasmine walking hand in hand through Adventureland early one morning.
I'll be thinking the happiest thoughts for a magical surprise during your upcoming visit. You're more than welcome to come see us again as you finalize your plans! You've got a friend in
planDisney!
Dream a Fantastic Dream,
Lizzie
