Is there a place inside some of the more intense rides, for example the tower of terror, for my 9 year old child to wait for me to if he doesn't want to?

    Hi Katie,

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

If you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort with another adult, then you might enjoy using the Rider Switch Service. With this, your entire party will approach the FastPass+ Queue to let the friendly Cast Member know that you are interested in the Rider Switch Service. He or she will provide you with a paper pass entitling up to three people to enter the FastPass+ queue at a later time. Then, the Guest that would like to ride at that time can head to the attraction and your son and another adult can enjoy a different attraction.

Unfortunately, there is not a location within the attractions where your son could wait. That said, if he makes a last-second decision not to experience an attraction late in the queue, simply alert a Cast Member, and he or she can escort you out an exit in the area.

Check out the Walt Disney World Resort for more tips on traveling with your tween.

I hope that helps, Katie! Happy riding!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
