Is there a place we can go in WDW to learn more about Walt Disney himself and his amazing genius with animation?

Hello Mary and welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel!

Walter Elias Disney's genius is undeniable, and his influence can be seen in many places throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.  At Disney's Hollywood Studios there is a wonderful walk through exhibit of Walt's history and achievements. Located in Animation Court, Walt Disney Presents includes museum quality displays and descriptions of sketches, and artifacts that trace Mr. Disney's footsteps and legacy. The exhibit also has a film entitled Walt Disney: One Man's Dream that is a must-see for those interested in the man behind the mouse. I think this quiet gem might be just what you are looking for.

I would also like to recommend the guided tour entitled Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour. This three-hour tour takes you from Walt's upbringing in Marceline, Missouri through the development of some of his most iconic attractions.

If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon,

I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
