Hello, David! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
Having a souvenir personalized with custom embroidery is the perfect way to make a keepsake even more special!
World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District had an embroidery station in the past and it's very likely that it still does, but the store is currently being reimagined. While most of the store remains open during construction, some items and services may be in flux. If embroidery is not currently offered at World of Disney, there are still many places where you can have your items embroidered in the parks and at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. Inside the Disneyland Hotel, for example, is
small world Gifts and Sundries where they can embroider merchandise.
I spoke to a Cast Member who does embroidery during a recent visit and I was told that they can most certainly embroider an item that you purchased during a past trip. The Cast Member shared that it’s best if you still have the receipt and if the item is still available to purchase so they can confirm it is an authentic Disney Parks item. And, of course, the item needs to be suitable for embroidery. Finally, it was mentioned that determining whether an item can be embroidered might be up to the individual Cast Member but if you have something general like a Mickey ear hat or a tote, it is probably fine.
I hope this information was helpful. Have a splendid time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
