Is there a place at the Comtemporary that you can view the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evening while you have refreshments such as coke, coffee, etc? Someone told us about it, but just said that it was at this hotel.

The California Grill is the restaurant you most likely heard about at the Contemporary Resort.  It has floor to wall windows and balconies that offer panoramic views of Walt Disney World, including the Magic Kingdom.  When guests dine at the restaurant, they are welcome to view the fireworks, including coming back to the restaurant if their reservations had been earlier in the evening (you will need to show your receipt).

I would suggest that you make reservations ahead of time because of the popularity of the restaurant, even if you are just having desserts and coffee.  You may do this online (using the link provided above) or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Also, a dress code is required that is also explained in the hyperlink.
