which place is best to stay for an 11yr old, first trip to Disney for him.

    Hi Angela,

How exciting for you to plan the first Walt Disney World vacation for one of Mickey's pals! Each of us at Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to help you plan the most magical vacation for you both, so ask us all your questions.

I so remember each family vacation with our young son. I remember how much fun we all enjoyed at the whimsical Disney's Pop Century Resort. I can vividly picture his full-faced laughter as he aimed the racehorse water sprays at The Grandstand pool at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. I can vividly picture our son's sheer joy at shooting out through the clown face water slide at the Luna Park Pool at Disney's BoardWalk Villas. I remember how cool he thought it was to stay at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and simply walk right over to Magic Kingdom. I can remember how much we enjoyed Disney's Yacht Club Resort and chilling out around Stormalong Bay. And I recently toured Disney's Art of Animation Resort and immediately imagined how much fun our son would have enjoyed staying there.

Angela, in my experience, the best "best" is discovered in your own Disney moments, and they will be there for you with full-on magic no matter which resort you choose. Take a look at the Walt Disney World Resort offerings and know that each has something magical to offer an 11-year old on his first Walt Disney World adventure.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
