Hello Trachnick, and welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner. Can you already smell the popcorn and picture Sleeping Beauty Castle? Let's talk about what you can expect during your trip!
Pixie Hollow is undoubtedly a magical place. My kids love walking through the enchanted forest and feeling as though they've shrunk to the size of a pixie! Unfortunately, Trachnick, Pixie Hollow is currently closed for refurbishment, and an official reopening date has not yet been announced. The
Hours & Events Calendar on the website is generally updated to reflect information around six weeks out. I just took a peek, and Pixie Hollow still shows as Closed for Refurbishment near the end of May. Check the calendar again in a few weeks, when your trip is just over a month away. At that point, you'll be able to confirm whether or not Pixie Hollow will still be closed. You'll also see the schedules for entertainment such as parades, nighttime spectaculars, and more.
Here are a few other pixie-dusted ideas for you to add to your visit:
- Take a cruise on "it's a small world" and look for Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as you sail through England.
- Visit Never Land on Peter Pan's Flight – with the Play Disney Parks app, you can even uncover Tinker Bell hidden in the queue!
- See the Paint the Night parade, which is returning to Disneyland as part of the 70th Anniversary Celebration. When I last saw it in 2015, Tinker Bell and her friends were part of the parade near the beginning! You might even consider the Paint the Night Dining Package, which includes a meal at Plaza Inn and a voucher for reserved viewing of this dazzling parade.
- Watch Fantasmic! – it's another amazing nighttime show. I remember seeing projections with Tinker Bell, and you won't want to miss the thrilling battle between Captain Hook and Peter Pan near the end.
- If your plans also include California Adventure, head to Soarin' Over The World and watch for a special appearance by Tinker Bell near the end of the attraction. You can also head to Animation Academy to see if Tinker Bell is on the schedule – if she is, you'd have the opportunity to learn how to draw her from a talented animator!
- Browse shops across the Disneyland Resort to search for Tinker Bell-themed merchandise. I've recently seen cute apparel at World of Disney.
Trachnick, I hope you have the most magical visit in June. If you have any other questions between now and then, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
May pixie dust guide your way,
Kriss
