Welcome to planDisney! Isn’t it great to be an
Annual Passholder? I love that thanks to my Sorcerer Pass, I can pop into Walt Disney World Resort whenever I have a free afternoon or day. I used to have the Pixie Dust Pass as well, but with work schedules and other weekly obligations, being able to visit on weekends was a game changer.
Speaking of which, I’m excited to see that you are considering upgrading your current Pixie Dust Pass to a Pirate Pass. I have done that upgrade before but never with a monthly payment plan, so I had to do a little digging. Unfortunately, Rachel, I confirmed with a Cast Member that there is currently no way to pay the upgrade difference between the passes using a monthly payment plan. The entire price is due at the time of upgrade, even if you initiate it in person. You can only start a monthly payment plan when you purchase a new Annual Pass or at renewal.
I know this might not be the answer you were hoping for, Rachel, but I hope it helps. Before I let you go, I want to remind you that when you upgrade your Annual Pass, your expiration date does not change to a year from your upgrade. Your expiration date will be the same as it was with your current Pixie Dust Pass. Put simply, if you have 6 months left until your Pixie Dust Pass expires now, you will still have 6 months left if you upgrade to the Pirate Pass. If you need anything else, please come back and see
