Welcome to planDisney, Kendra! You’re going to have a rootin’ tootin’ good time sailing with your favorite Pixar Pals. As far as planning a Disney Cruise, you’ve got a friend in me! I’m happy to share what I know about
Pixar Day at Sea aboard the Disney Fantasy.
The details for next year’s Pixar Day at Sea sailings are still lost in Andy’s toy box, but I promise adventure is out there! Based on this past winter’s sailings, there were two themed nights with fireworks! The first was the Pixar Day at Sea celebration with character encounters, dance parties, interactive dining, movie screenings, and family-friendly entertainment. The second-themed night was
Pirate Night. Activities were happening throughout the day – crafts, trivia, themed beverages, and entertainment – enough to keep any scallywag busy. Both themed nights culminated with a deck party of incredible proportions! I recommend packing your favorite themed gear to participate in the fun!
Pixar Day at Sea features some exclusive character opportunities. Not only do you get to meet with toys, monsters, and supers, there are even special moments like getting your picture in front of Boo’s door. I heard Deck 4 is a great spot to find a few friends roaming around. Have your camera ready to capture your crew. Even better, consider a Disney photo package so you can be in the pictures, too!
The Unlimited Digital Photo Package can be reserved for a discount before sailing.
Kendra, once your cruise is paid in full and your booking window opens, you can make reservations online for Port Adventures, beverage tastings, and some character encounters. A highlight among Guests was Sheriff Woody’s Cowboy Breakfast. This event does have to be reserved beforehand. It’s a foot-stompin’ good time as you feast on a hearty breakfast fit for a cowboy or cowgirl. Your
booking window is based on your Castaway Club membership level. If this is your first cruise, your window opens 75 days before your sailing. The date is also listed on your reservation under Cruise Activities. While many things do not need to be pre-booked, I’d reserve this as soon as your window opens.
As for the junior toys joining you, I recommend visiting the kids’ club during open house hours to see the unique spaces and meet the counselors. They do a great job helping every toy, superhero, and princess feel welcome.
If you scare up any additional questions, please stop by
planDisney and see me again! I’m excited about the core memories you will make with your family. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates. They will be the first to report on the Pixar Pals takeover.
SEAS the adventure!
