Is the Pirates and Pals Firework cruise something for all ages? I have 8 year old boys that love pirates and Peter Pan, but I want to know if this is an attraction worth spending the extra money on.

    Hi Renee!

Disney Moms Beth, Margaret and I, along with our families recently experienced the  Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and had a great time!   Our children, including a group of boys ranging in ages from 5 through 11 all agreed it was a wonderful way to end a Disney day!  The event started an hour before Wishes was scheduled at the Contemporary Resort.  Guests are given a commemorative bandana, and are free to munch on a variety of snacks and drinks, including brownies, cookies, cotton candy, chocolates and soft drinks. There is also a private character greeting before boarding the boats.

Once on board, your journey is lead by your own, very talented, pirate.  Patch, our pirate, was hysterical, and had the entire boat in stitches.  He played trivia games with the guests, and handed out prizes to the kids on board.  The event culminates with a spectacular, unobstructed view of Wishes.  The fireworks are truly amazing from this perspective!

After the fireworks, your pirate will play a few more games as you head back to the Contemporary for a final surprise at the dock!  One of the best parts of the evening is that you don't have to brave the mass exodus of guests from the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks!

My boys absolutely loved the event, and are hoping we include it on an upcoming Disney adventure!

    Have a wonderful time!
