    Could we make it to Pirates and Pals (arrive at 6:45) after a 5 pm Ohana-or is that cutting it too close? Thought maybe since it's the first dinner res. it might time out ok, but didn't know until now how early we have to be at P & P.

    I LOVE the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage! Great Disney minds think alike. During my last trip to WDW, my family had dinner at 'Ohana before we headed over to P&Ps.

    If you are seated immediately at 'Ohana you may be alright. Keep in mind that dinner is all you can eat and is served family style. They also have kids' activities during your meal (i.e., coconut racing, the limbo, learning the hula, etc.). The land portion of the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage begins 1 hr & 15 minutes prior to the time the fireworks are scheduled at the Magic Kingdom (i.e., if fireworks are scheduled for 8 p.m., P&Ps would begin at 6:45 p.m.).  P&P is great fun from beginning to end and I wouldn't want to miss a minute of it.

    I would make my ADRs at 'Ohana for at least 2 hrs prior to the scheduled start time of Pirates & Pals. That way it gives you enough time to really enjoy your dinner & some wiggle room if they can't seat you right away.  It also allows for travel time to get to the Comtemporary after dinner.  If 5 p.m. is the earliest dinner reservation, you may want to think about a reservation at another dining location along the monorail line or doing them on separate evenings. Otherwise, eat fast & skip the hula.

    Its less stressful to me to finish w/ time to spare vs being rushed to finish up & get somewhere else in time - especially when you're paying the prices for these experiences.  I truly believe they are both well worth the $ - but I want to make sure I have the time to fully enjoy them. If you have extra time after 'Ohana, there are plenty of things at the Contemporary to fill it.
