Memory Maker and
MagicBands.
As you already know, MagicBands are no longer provided to Disney Resort hotel Guests on a complimentary basis, although they are still available for purchase. Because the Walt Disney World Resort has plans to unveil new technology as part of the My Disney Experience mobile app, I decided to call our friends at
Disney PhotoPass Service to ask about using Memory Maker without a MagicBand. They informed me that Guests are currently able to use their mobile devices to retrieve photos. Be sure to download the latest version of the
My Disney Experience mobile app before your visit, keep location services and notifications enabled, and remember to turn on Bluetooth. They explained that after digital content is captured at an attraction, you will typically receive 3 sets of photos to select the ones you want. If you notice that attraction photos or videos are not linked to My Disney Experience, they recommended stopping by Disney PhotoPass centers located in each theme park for assistance.
