Is the pirates of the Caribbean ride in Anaheim closing - either temporarily, or permanently?

Ahoy there, Denise! Welcome to planDisney.

Pirates of the Caribbean has been one of my favorite Disney attractions since I was a child, and I am not alone. Disney fans from all over the world travel to Disneyland Resort to experience the original attraction. As soon as you enter your boat, you are instantly immersed in the world of pirates--there is nothing else like it!

Fortunately, you do not have to worry about Pirates of the Caribbean sailing away anytime soon. There are no current plans for this attraction to be refurbished, let alone for it to close permanently. To know which attractions are scheduled to be closed for refurbishment, check out the Hours & Events Calendar and look for the 'Closed for Refurbishment' drop-down menu online or on the Disneyland App. For the latest Disney Parks news, please visit the official Disney Parks Blog.

Tip: Avast! Pirates of the Caribbean is temporarily available as a Lightning Lane entrance when you purchase the Disney Genie+ service for your visit.

I hope you find this helpful, Denise. We can't wait to have you at the parks real soon!

    Your Pal,
