Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend brings tens of thousands of runners to the Walt Disney World Resort every January, Aisha. This exciting event takes participants on a 26.2-mile adventure through all four
theme parks with special entertainment and Disney Character experiences on the course! While the race is a marathon, race registration is more of a sprint, Aisha. For example, 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon bibs sold out within two hours of registration opening. Race registration for this event typically opens around nine months in advance, so if you hope to register for the 2025 marathon, I encourage you to check the runDisney website or the
runDisney Blog in early April 2024 for details!
Aisha, it's great to hear that you're part of the Annual Passholder family. Your pass allows you to make magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resort through more frequent visits than most Guests! While your Disney Pirate Pass offers you many wonderful benefits, like theme park admission on most days of the year, standard theme park parking, and event, recreational,
dining, and
merchandise discounts at participating locations, it does not provide you with runDisney race registration privileges. runDisney events are priced separately and payment must be made - with fast fingers (as the races sell out quickly!) - at the time of registration. Aisha, when you register for your next runDisney event, consider typing your payment information into a virtual "note" on your desktop. This will allow you to easily copy and paste your payment details into the checkout form!
