I have a pirate pass and the park hopping rules are still a little unclear to me. Am I able to park hop any time or is it still the 2 PM rule. And is MK still blocked for hopping to on Saturdays and Sundays?

Ahoy, Jack! Welcome to planDisney, a friendly port for all your Disney vacation queries. I’m happy to be your first mate and help answer your Annual Pass and park hopping questions.

In order to park hop, Annual Passholders must have a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit and enter that park before going to another. If you wait until 2 P.M. then Annual Passholders can enter any theme park without reservations. The exception is the Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, which still requires a theme park reservation for Annual Passholders—even if you plan to visit after 2 P.M.—if it is going to be your first stop. Annual passholders can park hop to the Magic Kingdom on weekends after they’ve visited their first park.

As always, theme park admittance is subject to the park’s capacity limitations and applicable blackout dates. As a Pirate Pass holder, be sure to check the Admission Calendar before you visit.

I just got back from my first visit to Walt Disney World as an annual passholder and it was like having a treasure map for savings. The discounts on select food and merchandise were great, and as out-of-state visitors we really appreciated the discount on hotel rooms

I hope this information helps, Jack. If you have any other questions, just sail back to planDisney and call on your mateys for help.

    Yo ho!
