Pirate & Pals Voyage not offered on night I wanted to book...should we skip Hoop-Dee-Doo and do this instead? Have four boys (16, 8, 6, 5)...Love the panel! THANKS!!!

Hi, Mindy! In trying to choose between the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness or the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage at The Contemporary, my nod is to the Hoop Dee Doo. Although I love both events, I think that the better value for a family with four boys is to get them fed (all you care to eat, family style at HDD) and entertained. Plus, I think your boys will enjoy the atmosphere of Fort Wilderness, and depending on your reservation, you can enjoy other events and recreation choices there before or after.

At the P&P Fireworks Voyage, I love the entertainment...especially our pirate captain. However, I was a little disappointed in the dessert buffet versus what we paid. The cruise is a great vantage point for the fireworks...except for the fact that we sat on the opposite side of the boat and had to look between the boat's canopy and other guests' heads.

With three sons and a daughter with ages similar to yours, I would choose to keep a Hoop Dee Doo reservation and plan on the viewing the fireworks from the beach at Fort Wilderness. They pipe in the music there, too! I hope this helps you plan. Come back if you have more questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
