Welcome aboard, Christine!
Thank you very much for visiting the Moms Panel with your question. Planning a Disney Cruise is so much fun, and we're always glad that we can help other families who are planning their own voyages. There is something for everyone on a Disney Cruise... and if you've got Pirates and Pirate-wanna-be's in your crew, they'll be glad to know that 3-night cruises do indeed celebrate the
Pirates IN the Caribbean party.
Though sometimes schedules change, the 2nd night is usually Pirate Night on a 3-night voyage. It is a signature party that you can only find on the Disney Cruise Line, so get your pirate garb on and join in on the fun. The evening starts off with some goodies in your stateroom to get you fired up and the evening started. Right before the 1st dinner seating or the 1st evening show, you can get your buccaneers all dressed up in their pirate gear. Your local party shops or online stores usually have a good selection of pirate costumes and accessories. You can bring your own gear, or pick something up at the onboard shops. At dinner, you'll even have a pirate themed menu, and your dining team will all be in on the fun.
The lobby atrium will be the venue for meet and greet sessions that evening. It's a great photo opportunity, since you'll get a chance to see various characters all in their pirate attire. You'll need to check the Personal Navigator for schedules. After dinner, the party starts up on deck and there will be dancing, singing and loads of surprises from 'THE Captain'! The fireworks that come later is a spectacular show - only Disney Cruise can do that on the high seas! Our family enjoys this evening the most, and here's my fellow cruise mom, Diane, sharing a bit of the fun on the Disney Cruise
on this new video! ~ Dolly
