Hi there, Chasity!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you stopped by with your question about an
Alaskan Adventure with Captain Mickey! My family has cruised through Alaska twice now, and I can’t wait to go back; there is so much to see and do and I don’t know of a better way to explore Alaska than onboard the Disney Wonder!
While you will typically find a Pirate Night deck party onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, you will not find one when cruising through Alaska. Disney Cruise Line must adhere to certain environmental restrictions and regulations when cruising through areas of Alaska and the use of onboard fireworks is prohibited, so unfortunately this does affect the typical onboard entertainment. But, don’t worry because you will definitely be treated to a fun-filled voyage and not even realize what you may be missing out on! While onboard entertainment is subject to change without notice, recently there has been a
Frozen deck party onboard during the Alaskan voyages (and even some European itineraries, too)! My family has enjoyed dancing and singing along with Queen Elsa, Princess Anna and everyone’s favorite snowman while onboard and it’s been just as memorable as any other deck party or experience we have had onboard another Disney Cruise Line itinerary!
As you continue planning for your Alaskan adventure, I highly suggest looking through the many
excursions offered through Port Adventures! The Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures team does a fantastic job of finding the best of the best activities giving Guests the opportunity to experience all that Alaska has to offer! The hardest decision you will have to make is just
which excursion to choose…from my experience, I recommend seeing Mendenhall Glacier; you won’t regret it!
Wishing you a
WONDERful and magical adventure in Alaska!
Happy Sailing!
