Hiya, Megan and welcome back to planDisney!
Megan, one of the reasons my family and I love the Walt Disney World Resort are the “extra” activities like pin trading! We started buying and trading pins when my kids were just preschoolers and it’s been so much fun to see their interests change through the years and enjoy our (
ever changing) collection of pins!
Now, Megan, I’m happy to report that YES, pin trading is available in all four theme parks and in fact, my kids traded pins all over the Walt Disney World Resort in June. Pin trading is working a bit differently than in the past, so let me outline the current procedure. When we were at
Magic Kingdom Park my kids traded pins at the gift shop located at the exit of
Pirates of the Caribbean. In lieu of pins traded from Cast Member lanyard to guest lanyard they are displayed on boards. There are signs that explain that you should drop the pin(s) YOU would like to trade into a box (you keep your backs) and then point to the pin(s) that you’d like in exchange. A Cast Member will then hand the pins to you.
Megan, I hope you find every pin your heart desires and that you have a Magical trip this October. Since you’ll be just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort make sure to
read all about the fanfare in store to commemorate this occasion.
If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to come back and see us hEAR at planDisney.
