What’s the picture used for when doing online check in?

Welcome to planDisney, Kristine! Thank you for sailing by with your question.

The picture you upload during Online Check-In is another way to verify your identity on Disney Cruise Line. It will show up for crew members when you scan your Key to the World Card or DisneyBand+ when debarking and embarking on your ship.

This photo can be a selfie, as long as you are the only one in the photo and it is against a blank wall. It should be a recent headshot and not the same photo as the one in your passport. Each person in your traveling party will need to have a photo uploaded, even children.

You will also need to upload an image of your travel documentation and be prepared to select a payment option for your onboard account. You will also be asked to share your travel plans before and after your cruise. Don't forget to pack your travel documentation to take to the port with you because you will need to present a physical copy as well.

Kristine, if you have any other questions, come back to visit us at planDisney.

    Adventure is out there!
