are there picnic areas at the parks?

    Hi Marsha!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I'm happy to help.

Guests of Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are welcome to bring food, drinks and snacks into the park when they visit. There aren't designated picnic areas within the parks, but there are plenty of benches, tables and shady areas where guests can relax, rest and refuel.

To bring your own refreshments into the parks, Disney asks that guests follow a few simple rules and guidelines:
    • no glass bottles or containers
    • small soft-sided coolers are preferred
    • only non-alcoholic beverages
All guests will go through a security screening and bag check when entering one of Walt Disney World's four theme parks. You'll need to inform a Security Cast Member about your food items upon entry.

I hope this helps with your packing and planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
