Hi Jennifer!
How exciting to celebrate a birthday party at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, where I'm happy to answer your question regarding celebrations and outside food and drinks.
Currently, the Disneyland Resort is very flexible when it comes to allowing guests to enter the Parks with
outside snacks and drinks. They understand parents often need a quick fix when the little ones start complaining about being hungry!
However, when it comes to outside food in the sense of a leisurely meal including desserts, I don't believe that would be allowed inside the Parks.
Fortunately, as you are aware, there is an
outside picnic area. It's a relaxing open-air seating area located outside of the Disneyland Park Main entrance. This picnic area offers a California-cool atmosphere with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Further, it's near the lockers, where you can store all of your eating utensils, leftover pizza and any picnic gear, before entering the Park. All this to say, yes-- you can take pizza and cupcakes to celebrate a birthday, as long as you enjoy those before entering the Parks!
Another idea is-- Red Rockett's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland!
Did you know you can buy a Mega Pepperoni whole pizza for $40? (Prices subject to change).
I can tell you from experience that the pizza slices are generous, cheesy and very delicious!
There's also
Sprinkles cupcakes located in the Downtown Disney District, in case you want to avoid having to carry your sweet treats from your hotel or your car!
I hope this helps.
Wishing you a Magical trip to the Disneyland Resort...
ChEARs!
