Hello, Dawn!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My Mouseketeer is pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but his cousins, who often travel with us, are not. These girls are picky! Over the years we have dined at many Walt Disney World Resort restaurants from African-inspired buffets to
Disney Signature Dining experiences, and our girls can almost always find a chicken dish on the menu. If not, we ask if a dish can be modified. Usually, it is as simple as asking if the meat can be cooked without sauce or requesting grilled chicken on a salad. There have been a few times when the girls could not find anything on the children's menu, and servers have always suggested an alternative or two. You would be surprised how many adults are just as picky as young Mouseketeers. It never hurts to ask, and we have found that servers do their best to honor requests whenever possible. A happy Mouseketeer means an even happier Mom and Dad!
Most table-service restaurants offer a good selection of healthy
Mickey Check meals as well as kid-favorite staples such as chicken and burgers. Buffets typically offer a kid-friendly section with chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and pizza. In fact, you will usually see a few adults enjoying some of the children's buffet items! There are some delicious
buffet and family style offerings!
I hope this helps, and you and your husband have the opportunity to enjoy many fantastic Walt Disney World Resort restaurants during your visit.
Have a magical day!
Missy
