    I am a very pickey eater and a lot of the food on the menus at the table service restaurants doesn't appeal to me, but the desserts do! Would it be frowned upon to make ADRs and only order desserts?

    Hi, Jodi!  I am the queen of picky eating!   While you are not required to have a "minimum" purchase at any table service meal, you might want to give some restaurants a try!   The servers are very helpful and will work with your dietary needs or just plain being a choosey eater!   My husband always laughs when I order - keep the sauce off, make this plain, change the side dish, etc!  When I had the pleasure of dining at Jiko with my fellow Moms Panelists, I was so worried about the exotic choices.   But, I promise you, that was one of my favorite meals of all time!   I just explained to server how I liked my food, and it was prepared perfectly. 

    There are times when a meal simply cannot be changed, but explain to your server what you like and they will work with the chef to accommodate your wishes.   You can also try buffets, where a dessert table is included, and you pick and choose your favorite dishes. 

    So the answer to your question:  feel free to order just a dessert.  But, even the pickiest of eaters can usually find something good at most restaurants.    Good luck to you!
