How do I pick a resort to stay at?

Hello Angela!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

Walt Disney World features a wide option of resort to choose from.  Every resort features great rooms, service and transportation, fun pools and a unique theme that is part of every aspect and decoration of the resorts.

There are four main categories: Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Villas.  Each category features rooms for four, five or six guests - only Deluxe and Villas have rooms for seven or more guests (up to 12).
Disney´s Fort Wilderness Cabins and Disney Villas (one, two or three bedrooms Villas) are the only resorts to offer full kitchens.  There is also Disney´s Swan & Dolphin resorts that feature different services and amenities.

Value resorts only feature quick service dining, while Moderate resorts also include a table service restaurant.
Character and Signature dining experiences can only be experience at Deluxe - Villa resorts.
Resorts will also feature different recreational activities and amenities.

The most important criteria to choose a resort for my family are budget and transportation options.
Some Deluxe - Villa resorts are located within walking distance of one or two parks or are part of Disney´s Monorail system.  Staying at one of these resorts will certainly add plenty of time and magic to your vacation.  Taking a nap or mid day rest can be much easier this way.  If budget allows it you will not go wrong with either of the Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort or Yacht Club Resort.

Try to spend some time browsing Disney´s website before choosing a resort or just write to us again.

Happy to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
