Do I have to pick up a physical ticket to link to my park pass and Disney app?

Hi, Carmie!  Thanks for stopping by with your question.  It would be my pleasure to help you get ready for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

The health and safety of Walt Disney World Resort Guests and Cast Members is of the utmost importance.  During this phased reopening period, theme park capacity is being restricted to allow for proper physical distancing.  Currently, Guests must have a Disney Park Pass reservation along with their valid theme park admission to visit one of the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Carmie, I'm happy to tell you that you can go ahead and make your Disney Park Pass reservation as soon as you purchase your theme park admission.  There is no need to have a physical ticket in hand.  If you are logged into your My Disney Experience account when you purchase your ticket, it may automagically link to your account.  To check and see if your ticket is linked to your account, open your My Disney Experience mobile app and click on the three lines in the bottom right corner of your screen.  Next, click "Tickets and Passes" to see if your theme park admission is listed.  If it is not, click the plus sign in the upper right corner of the screen, then click "Link Tickets & Passes."  You can then enter your theme park ticket ID Code or scan the code from your ticket purchase confirmation email.  Once your theme park ticket is linked to your My Disney Experience account, you are ready to make your Disney Park Pass reservation.

I would recommend making your Disney Park Pass reservation as soon as possible for the best chance of being able to visit on your desired date.  If you wish to check the Disney Park Pass availability prior to purchasing your theme park admission, you may do so on the Walt Disney World website.

Our Walt Disney World Resort visits may look a little different from what we're used to right now, but the magic will still be there.  Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog and keep an eye on the operational updates page on the Walt Disney World website for all of the latest information during these ever-changing times.

Hoping your Walt Disney World Resort visit is practically perfect in every way!
