    I would like to do Pick a Pearl on our trip in Oct for my 10th anniv in Nov but I'm afraid we won't have time to do it at Epcot. Is it just as good at the Downtown Disney location? Is the selection to have it mounted there just as good as Epcot's Japan?

    Welcome back! Thank you for stopping by again to let us help with your vacation planning.  First, congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! What a wonderful place to celebrate such a momentous occasion.  

    Picking a pearl has become a tradition for my family on each of our vacations. It is such a fun way to interactively create a memento you will cherish forever.  Until our last vacation, I had only experienced the Epcot location, but like you, I ran out of time and was able to stop at the Downtown Disney location prior to our trip departure. I was not only impressed with the selection of oysters to choose from, but also by the wonderful settings to mount the pearl in.  My kids each picked a pearl for me and the Cast Members did such a wonderful job of making the process fun and exciting for them.  While it isn't the same cultural experience, the quality of the pearls and settings are just as good.
