Hey there, Debbie!
Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question! It's great to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up. I can imagine you're so looking forward to all the magic that awaits you.
The process for purchasing Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets is separate from the process for making theme park reservations. The quick way that I would describe the steps is that you would
purchase your theme park tickets first, then
link your tickets to your
My Disney Experience account, and then
make your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system.
Before purchasing theme park tickets for a certain day, it's a good idea to
take a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to make sure that there are Disney Park Pass reservations available for that park for that day.
When you purchase your theme park tickets, you'll be prompted to select the number of days you want to visit the theme parks, select your ticket type, and select the first day of your theme park visits. Keep in mind that choosing the first day you plan to use your tickets is separate from making your theme park reservations for that day. When you choose the first day you'll be using your ticket, you'll also see a calendar display of "Parks with Currently Available Reservations." This can help guide you in your purchasing process. You would select the theme park for which you want to make a reservation when you use the Disney Park Pass system.
If you would like some additional help with the Disney Park Pass system or your My Disney Experience account, you can reach out to the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-4357. You can also
chat with them online.
Debbie, I hope this information is helpful as you purchase your theme park tickets and make your theme park reservations. If you're looking for any suggestions as you make your plans, ask us here at planDisney. We're always happy to make recommendations from our own Disney destination vacations.
Enjoy all the magic of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
