If you had to pick one hotel would it be Port Orleans Riverside or Coronado Springs? I am taking the family: two kids 6 and 9. We will be there for 10 nights.

    Hi Frank,

I've stayed at both hotels on several occasions, but if I had to choose, I'd lean toward Port Orleans Riverside, especially for a nice, long stay like yours. I love the grounds at that resort and I think it has more amenities that may appeal to your family.

Riverside has six pools, including the sawmill-themed main pool with bridges and slide on Ol' Man Island. There a fishing hole for catch and release fishing, surrey bike rentals, carriage rides and lots of other activities. You can find a more extensive list at this link on Port Orleans Riverside recreation.  Your kids are just the right age, too, for the Bayou Pirate Adventure Cruise that sets sail from the fishing hole.

It is convenient to take a free water taxi to the shops, restaurants and entertainment of Downtown Disney from the resort or enjoy dinner at Boatwright's Dining Hall on the property.

As a guest at Riverside, you also are welcome to use the facilities of the adjacent Port Orleans French Quarter, which has a cool sea serpent slide at its pool and hot beignets in its food court.

And Yehaa Bob's foot-stomping piano show in the River Roost Lounge on select nights is a must-see for lots of resort guests.

I hope that helps you make your decision. I'm sure your family will have a great time whichever resort you choose. Please let me know if I can offer any more assistance. Enjoy your time with your family!
