Ahoy there, Diana! Welcome aboard, planDisney!
I love this question, because it means you’re getting to the exciting tasks of planning all the fun on board your Disney cruise! I would love to help explain when you can begin planning all of that fun!
Making those excursion reservations—or
Port Adventures as they’re called in the Disney cruise world—as well as those exciting onboard activity reservations, can all begin to take place once your
booking window opens. Your individual booking window depends on your
Castaway Club status.
If you’re unsure of when exactly that date is, it’s easy to check! You can find it by opening up the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and scrolling down to “My Plans” after opening your reservation. There, you will find the date your booking window opens.
If, like me, you're also a meticulous planner, I suggest having an idea of the Port Adventures and onboard activities you’d like to book beforehand, so that, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, you're ready to book some magic on that date!
Port Adventures for each port can be researched on the Disney Cruise Line website. Some ideas of other onboard activities you can book when your booking window opens are
adult dining reservations (looking at you, Palo Brunch!),
Senses Spa & Salon appointments,
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointments, Royal Gathering reservations, and
“it’s a small world” nursery! reservations-should you need them.
Once your booking window opens, to book an onboard activity or Port Adventure, in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, tap "My Plans", then choose the day you'd like to make a reservation for, and choose from the available activity options for that day.
Diana, I hope this helped, and you feel more ready and excited to book those Port Adventures and fun onboard activities. I wish you the most incredible memories on board your Disney cruise. Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
