Welcome to planDisney, Monica! It looks like you're heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth today, so let's get right to your question!
Disney's Contemporary Resort offers some excellent dining options, like
Steakhouse 71 and
Chef Mickey's, and it's so convenient to be able to take a peaceful walk right over to
Magic Kingdom Park from the resort! Because of its proximity to Magic Kingdom, guests sometimes try to use rideshare services to be dropped off here and then walk over to the park, but this practice is not generally allowed.
Monica, guests who are staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, guests who have a valid dining reservation, or guests who are visiting the resort to participate in select recreational activities, can be dropped off or enjoy complimentary
self-parking at the resort. To take advantage of this, you'll be asked to provide proof of your reservation at the security gate for entrance. Without proof of a reservation, guests are often redirected to the Transportation and Ticket Center for rideshare drop-offs and pickups. From here, it's a quick ride on the
Disney Monorail or
ferryboat over to Magic Kingdom or the Magic Kingdom area resorts.
I'd recommend that if you do not have a valid reservation, have your ride drop you off and pick you up from the Transportation and Ticket Center to avoid any delays or unexpected issues the day of your visit!
I hope this helps, Monica, and I hope you have a wonderful time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, come see us again here at
planDisney!
See you real soon,
Alison
