Can I get a physical ticket, or is everything just based on scanning my phone?

Hi, Alicia! Oh, boy! It's always so fun to see a fellow Washingtonian stop by planDisney. A very warm welcome to you!

I'm so thrilled you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth on your mind, Alicia. It's usually what I have on my mind too!

Thanks for your great question about physical tickets at Disneyland! Although the Disneyland app is my go-to for just about everything when it comes to my Disneyland visit, I understand that sometimes it is nice to have the security of a ticket that you can physically hold in your hand. So, after purchasing your tickets on the Disneyland website, you may choose to receive either a physical ticket or a Disney eTicket. When you receive your email confirmation, print your tickets from the "Access your Ticket" button. Easy as that!

Another option for a physical ticket, that I confirmed with a Cast Member, is to purchase your theme park tickets in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booth on the Esplanade. However, you should know, Alicia, that you will not be able to receive physical tickets at the ticket booth if you have already purchased your tickets. This option is also risky if you're planning to visit the parks that day, as park reservations are required for entry, and there may not be availability.

Downloading the Disneyland app is one of my top planning tips for any Guest visiting the Disneyland Resort and I would highly recommend you download it, if you have a smartphone. Not only will the Disneyland app allow you to enter the parks easily with your park tickets, but you will be able to explore park maps, make food mobile orders, check wait times, find your favorite Disney pal, and utilize the skip-the-line service with Lightning Lanes. The Disneyland app is an absolute must for me!

Lastly, another option for entry into the park without using your phone is to link a MagicBand+ to your Disney account and then use the MagicBand+ to scan your park entry. This is the most convenient option, even if you have the Disneyland app! I love my MagicBand+.

I hope I was able to answer your question, Alicia, and you have what you need to begin your Disneyland visit! If you have any additional questions that come up in your planning, please don't hesitate to ask me another question! I'd be happy to help! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe where to find the best seasonal treats or some strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities.

    See you real soon!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla
