I see that photopass is included with Genie +. If someone in our party without Genie + gets a photo taken, would the person with Genie + be able to link those photos and get access to them? Thanks!

    Hi there, Thomas,

The added benefit of complimentary downloads of all of your Disney PhotoPass photos adds even more value to a purchase of the optional Disney Genie+ service. Here are the steps to take advantage of this service:

    • Install the Disneyland mobile app on your mobile device and log into your Disneyland account.
    • Using the same account, purchase theme park admission including the Genie+ service, or add Genie+ to a ticket that doesn’t already have it after the Guest using that ticket has entered a theme park.
    • After a Disney PhotoPass photographer takes a picture, use the app to link the picture to your account. From the ‘+’ button menu on the bottom of the app’s screen, select “Link PhotoPass Photos” then tap “Show PhotoPass Code” to bring up your personal QR code for the photographer to scan.

If your entire party is together at all times, you can use the QR code from your account to collect all of your party’s photos, even if only your ticket has Genie+ added to it. If your party happens to separate during your visit, the QR code that photographers scan would have the entitlements associated with each Guest’s account, which would determine whether they can access the digital downloads of photos from their accounts. Note that at the Disneyland Resort, automated PhotoPass photos taken on attractions are complimentary to download for all Guests, with or without Genie+.

Tony’s Tip: For the ultimate convenience in linking Disney PhotoPass photos taken by photographers, you can pair a MagicBand+ to your account and link it to your ticket or pass with Genie+. Instead of scanning the QR code in the app, photographers can scan your MagicBand+! Alternatively, you can get quick access to your QR code by taking a screenshot of it in the Disneyland app and setting that screenshot as your phone’s lock screen image.

You’re going to make a lot of magical memories at the Disneyland Resort, Thomas. I think that including Genie+ is a great way to help you keep your memories always.
