How does the photomark go away. The person in our party paid for memory maker and we clicked on a photo from their app and then “Activate”. But, it still shows the mark.

    Hiya Peter!

Welcome to planDisney! Looking back on my recent trip photos is one of my favorite things to do. I love to mentally relive the happy moments and wonder when I can visit Walt Disney World Resort again. I see you are having trouble downloading your photos and I am glad you came here for help!

Once purchased, Memory Maker becomes linked to the account of the person who bought it. That means that all the images in the gallery will be free of watermarks and ready to be downloaded only by accessing that account. When traveling with a party, it is a great idea to purchase Memory Maker and at the same time be linked on everyone's Family & Friends List. This way, everyone's pictures will be shared and viewable. When the trip is over you will see all of the photos that everyone took with the Disney PhotoPass Photographers and attraction photos and videos. However, remember, only the person who purchased the Memory Maker has access to download all of them. I would reach out to the person from your party who made the purchase and ask them to download and send you the pictures you want. If they are having trouble with downloading the pictures after activation, I would first make sure he is using the correct account. I say this as I have two accounts in my family we use for planning our Disney vacations. Second, I would consider the timing of when Memory Maker was purchased. Any photos taken within 3 days of the purchase of Memory Maker will not be included in the included downloads. You would have to buy them separately. In addition, once Memory Maker is activated you have 30 days to take pictures. It is important to note that each picture expires 45 days from the date they are taken. It's important that you not delay and be mindful of the timing. The third idea I have is to restart the My Disney Experience App or try to view the photos from a computer instead. Does the watermark disappear after a bit of refreshing? This has helped me in the past.

My final solution is to reach out to Disney PhotoPass Cast Members via phone for their assistance. It's very odd if the person who purchased Memory Maker is not able to remove the watermarks on their photos after activation. I'm sure they can find a way to help as well!

I'm sorry that you are having this struggle but I do hope one of my ideas worked out for you. If you have any more questions please let me know!

    Happy Planning!
