I like to take photographs. Are there rules about who/what I can take pictures of at Disney? Can I use a tripod?

    Hi Lara!
I love taking photographs at Walt Disney World.  Everywhere you look is filled with beauty and wonder. Feel free to take photographs of anywhere within the theme parks.  When in line for character greetings, remember you have a limited amount of time so set up your tripod ahead of time.  It may be easier to consider a monopod to use in the park as it is lighter and easy to carry.  Plus it will be easier to stabilize the camera at Animal Kingdom where the ground can be uneven.  Photography is not allowed in some rides like The Haunted Mansion and Carousel of Progress.  A valuable website is ask.wdwphotography.com.  Make sure that you are in some of your photos as well.  I know usually the person who takes the pictures sometimes doesn't end up in any of them.  You may also want to take the monorail or boats to other resorts such as The Grand Floridian and The Polynesian to get other spectacular photos!  Have a magical time capturing your memories!
