Hi Mary!
FINtastic news that you are taking a Disney cruise! Your adventure on the high seas will be here before you know it. Port Adventures are one of the things I look forward to the most before sailing with Captain Mickey, so I'm happy to hear you have some all lined up.
Swimming with dolphins is truly an amazing experience, and rightfully so, it MUST be documented. Although I'm not sure which dolphin excursion you signed up for, I'm guessing it's one in the Bahamas. Each
Port Adventure has a description and a Know Before You Go tab with all of the particulars of your excursion. For instance, the
Atlantis Dolphin Cay Dip ‘N Discover Interaction and Discover Atlantis and the
Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Swim will have photographers capturing your son's interaction with the dolphins. Keep in mind that these photos are usually NOT included in the price of the Port Adventure and in my experience have a premium price tag. That said, I wouldn't trade ANYTHING for the photos of my kids when they did a dolphin swim...their smiles radiate pure joy!
Speaking of photographs, my family loves all the photo opportunities we have with Disney Cruise Line. The
character meet and greets are some of our most cherished photos of all time! If you are a fan like me, I have a money-saving tip for you:
pre-purchase the Photo Package and you'll save some Disney dollars. To get the discount, the package must be ordered at least 24 hours prior to the first day of your sailing. Then you can "Say Cheese" to all the photos onboard and have them included in your package.
Swim back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue to finalize your cruise plans. Wishing you a picture perfect voyage!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
