As a photographer, would I be able to take engagement photos for some clients of mine?

Hey there, Chase! Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for sharing your question with us. Whether it’s a honeymoon or an anniversary celebration decades in the making, Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate happily ever after.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but what you’re describing falls under the category of “Prohibited Activities” in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. You can find the rules here, but the relevant section reads, “Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes.” If you have questions about this policy, feel free to chat with a friendly Cast Member on the Non-Reservation Support line

If your clients are set on a Walt Disney World photo session, then they may want to explore the offerings of Disney Fine Art Photography and Video or book a Capture Your Moment photo session. These private 20-minute photo sessions are great for engagement photos and can be done at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.

I hope this information is helpful, Chase. As I said, don’t hesitate to speak with a Cast Member if you have questions, and feel free to send any vacation planning queries to your pals at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
