Hello, can I photocopy the ticket from my app to my son’s phone so he can go on rides I don’t care to? Specificity lightening pass rides

    Hiya, Diane!

You betcha! You can link some or all of your theme park tickets to any other accounts you'd like. The account used for the original purchase will remain the "owner" of those tickets. But any other account can also be used to link one or more of the tickets by using the Disneyland mobile app. The process is simple from the "My Tickets & Passes" screen. One phone will display a ticket to be linked. The other phone uses the "Link Tickets & Passes" feature to scan the other ticket with the camera. (Tap the '+' button in the upper-right corner of the "Tickets and Passes" screen if the "Link Tickets & Passes" button isn't showing.)

After tickets have been linked to as many of the accounts you'd like, any of the accounts can be used to display the tickets for activation and entry into a theme park. Once a ticket has been used to enter a park on a given day, any account with that ticket linked to it can be used to purchase Lightning Lane and/or make Lightning Lane return time reservations for that ticket. If your tickets already have Lightning Lane Multipass included with them from the time of purchase or if they have Lightning Lane Multipass purchased for them after entering a park, you may even take turns reserving and managing Lightning Lane return times.

After reserving a Lightning Lane return time for a ticket, any account with that ticket linked to it can be used to redeem the return time for the corresponding Guest by scanning the ticket at the Lightning Lane entrance. Meaning, you can each scan your own ticket at the attraction entrance with your separate phones, or you may have one member of your party use their phone to scan the tickets for all of your party redeeming a return time together. Simply scan a ticket, then swipe to the next ticket to scan, and repeat for any additional tickets. Redeeming a Lightning Lane time is the same for Lightning Lane Multipass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Tony's Tip: Guests may choose to purchase a MagicBand+ and link it to their account. After it's linked to an account, any ticket or pass also linked to that account may be assigned to a MagicBand+. The Guest using that ticket or pass may then use that MagicBand+ to tap their band at the round tap point of the park entry gates or the Lightning Lane entrance of an attraction. There's even more MagicBand+ fun at the Disneyland Resort, including Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters and the limited-time 70th Anniversary activation points celebrating opening day attractions. Do you want to swap bands? No problem! Use the Disneyland mobile app to change which ticket or pass is assigned to a given band. And more than one MagicBand+ may be assigned to a given ticket, allowing that Guest to accessorize to their heart's content.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Diane. I hope you and your son have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort. Please let us know if you have any more questions or requests for recommendations as you continue to plan your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
