    How does photo pass work?

    Hi, Yvette!

Photos are my very favorite souvenir from the Disneyland Resort! Thanks to Disney PhotoPass Photographers, you can take amazing photos of your entire party at some of the most iconic spots in the parks. I know you're going to love it!

Making memories with Disney PhotoPass is super easy. When you see a Disney PhotoPass Photographer, join the queue for a photo! You'll see photographers all over both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in classic locations like Sleeping Beauty Castle or the entrance to Cars Land. When it's your turn, just smile away! The photographer will take several pictures and may also suggest some different poses for you. After they take your photo, there are three ways you can choose from to link your pictures to the Disneyland Mobile App:

    1. The photographer can scan a physical PhotoPass card that they will then give to you. You can use this same card to collect more photos during your visit. To link the pictures to your Disneyland Mobile App tap on the "☰" icon and tap "Photos" then "Link Photos" and finally "Link PhotoPass Card" to scan the card from the photographer.
    2. You can also have the photographer scan a barcode in the Disneyland Mobile App. Follow the same steps above to "Link Photos" but then select "Show PhotoPass Code" and the photographer will scan that code to link your photos. No card required! I recommend taking a screenshot of your code so it's easier to access quickly.
    3. Finally, if you're using MagicBand+ you can have the photographer scan your band and your photos will link to your account automatically. This way is SO easy, and my kids love being the ones to collect our pictures with their bands!
Whichever option you choose, you'll be able to preview all of your photos in the Disneyland Mobile App under the "Photos" section. There are a few different ways to purchase your PhotoPass pictures, but I think the best deal is to buy Disney Genie+ so that you can use Lightning Lanes and get all your photo downloads included in that price! You can purchase and download your photos right on your phone, but I also recommend going to the Disney PhotoPass website when you get home to download your photos on a computer and save a backup copy.

The Disneyland Mobile App also has a great feature to show where PhotoPass pictures can be taken. On the Disneyland map just tap the top center menu (it defaults to "Attractions") and switch it to "PhotoPass" to find the nearest photographer!

Disney PhotoPass also has the option to link attraction photos, and right now those photos are complimentary! When you exit a ride I always take a personal photo of our party on the attraction, so I have a copy of the Attraction ID that is displayed on the screen. In the Disneyland Mobile App tap on the "☰" icon and tap "Photos" then "Link Photos" and "Link Attraction Photo" so you can type in the Attraction ID and link your ride photo to your account.

A super fun feature in the app is Disney PhotoPass Lenses! When you purchase Genie+ you'll have access to these clever, magically-themed filters!

I hope you're able to capture some amazing memories, Yvette!

    Keep moving forward!
